Analysis, Strategy & Advocacy
5 Fifteen Barristers was founded in May 2019 by practitioners with experience in commercial and corporate matters. Our members appear before all local courts and international arbitral tribunals. Our vision is to be recognised by local and international clients as the go-to lawyers for advice and representation on complex matters under Mauritius law. We value building a relationship of trust with our network, which is based on our commitment to excellence. This is reflected in the quality of our work, tailor-made solutions and responsiveness. The Chambers also adopts a practical approach in engaging with clients through training workshops, quick guides, and the contribution of thought leadership articles to local and international publications.
A unique blend of professional backgrounds and sector expertise.
For details of our recent work, see our members' respective profiles
Our experience covers shareholder disputes, directors’ liabilities, derivative actions, minority rights, statutory demands, winding-ups, etc.
We draft and review agreements and policies, advise on the whole spectrum of employment issues, and represent clients at disciplinary proceedings, conciliation procedures, and hearings before the Mauritius courts.
Our team has specialist knowledge of construction matters and FIDIC contracts. We act for developers, architects, engineers, contractors and project managers in claims management and dispute resolution.
Our members regularly advise on and appear in disputes relating to a wide range of commercial contracts, including sale of goods and services, lease agreements, securities, and international transport.
We assist clients in pre-litigation discussions with the MRA and represent them before the Alternative Tax Dispute Resolution Panel, the Assessment Review Panel and the Supreme Court.
We aim to provide clients with updates on changes in the law and fresh industry insights.
